Auger boring combines drilling with spoil removal by a rotating auger. It allows a casing or pipeline to be installed from a working shaft towards a reception point.

Crossing assessment

The alignment, ground conditions, crossing length and installation tolerances determine whether this method is suitable. Access and available working space are also assessed.

Construction with less surface disturbance

Installation is concentrated at the working points at each end, avoiding continuous open excavation along the route.
